Deutz Champagne Brut
A rich-medium-weight Champagne. Straw-gold and strawberry-scented, with a softly sumptuous mousse and a not too dry flavour marked by deliciously ripe Pinot-dominated fruit.
Wine maker notes
The Brut Classic Champagne is produced by pressing in automatic and traditional Coquard basket presses, with 100% malolactic fermentation-primary fermentation occurs in 3,000 gallon tanks for two weeks. A blend of several vintages are aged at least two years en tirage. The wine is hand riddled in traditional pupitre racks, with dosage of a half-ounce blend of cane sugar and old vintage wine which changes from year to year depending on the demands of vintage.
COMPOSITION: Approx. 38% Pinot Noir, 32% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay
This Roederer owned house is one of the oldest members of Champagneís prestigious association of Grandes Marques houses. Champagne Deutz has been making distinctive Champagnes characterized by finesse, elegant vinosity and complexity since 1838. Owning a considerable portion of its own vineyards, Deutz selects only the top quality grapes from 275 acres of vineyards in the finest crus of Champagne. The wines are slowly and carefully aged in Deutzís chalk-walled cellars far beneath the historic village of Ay.
Ideal as an aperitif or with a variety of foods. The well-balanced crisp acidity makes it suitable for any occasion.
