Aromas of blackberry, mineral and lead pencil follow through to a full-bodied, chewy and rich palate. Still tannic and rich. Quite dry for a Vintage Port. Needs time to come around. Raisiny aftertaste. Big wine. Better than I remember. ’77/’85/’97 blind Port retrospective. Best after 2009. 5,000 cases made. –JS |
