The 2005 Reserva is 100% Tempranillo aged for 18 months in French oak. Purple-colored with a slightly muted nose, with coaxing, it gives up aromas of wood smoke, scorched earth, espresso, spice box, violets, and blackberry. Elegant on the palate but in need of more depth and concentration, it will offer enjoyment over the next 6-8 years. |
