Telmo Rodriguez is considered one of Spain’s most talented and prolific winemakers who champions the revival of native varietals and underappreciated regions with superior terroir. He studied viticulture and oenology at the University of Bordeaux and was the winemaker at Remelluri, his family winery in Rioja, before setting off on his own in 1990. His focus is in the vineyard where he farms biodynamically, has revived the cultivation of bush vines and replants exclusively with massale selections. Telmo is also a remarkably democratic winemaker who is as proud of his everyday wines as he is of his rare and limited bottlings.

| 100% Tinto Fino, the fruit was sourced from some of the finest parcels in Parilla and Fuente Molinos. The bush vines from Parilla are biodynamic and planted to red clay soils mixed with chalk and quartz. The other vineyard, Fuente Molinos, is a 10 acre plot situated in a former river bed, with calcareous and chalky soils. Fermented in cement and stainless steel tanks using natural yeasts, the wine was aged in cement tanks for approximately six months. |
