Fattoria di Magliano Sinarra
A fruity bouquet with hints of violet fills the nose. On the palate, Sinarra is persistent with intense flavors of red berries and black cherries and a smooth, velvety texture.
Wine Enthusiast 89 points (May 2015)
Made with Sangiovese and a drop of Petit Verdot, this savory wine delivers concentrated blueberry, black cherry, scorched earth, savory herb and licorice sensations. Hearty tannins frame the juicy fruit palate. Drink through 2016.
OTH 89 points (Dec15 2014)
Much deeper color than the 2012. Also smokier and deeper than the very different 2012. Underbrush and herb aromas and flavors dominate here, with the wine showing much less obvious bright fruit character than the 2012. Offers greater texture and sweetness though, with comparable length of flavor. -- Ian D’Agata
Wine maker notes
Sinarra, meaning “to tell a story,” recounts a beautiful expression of Sangiovese cultivated in the Maremma Toscana. Fruit-forward with fresh notes of blackberries and blueberries, and herbaceous notes. A full-bodied, perfectly balanced red aged in cement vats for 6 months, then cellared for an additional 6. The perfect conversation-starter, the Etruscan alphabet adorns the label - the base of communication.
Local dialect for “story-telling,” Sinarra tells a story with every sip. The perfect conversation-starter, the label displays the Etruscan alphabet, the basis of any story.
Enjoy with antipasto platters, complete with medium-aged cheeses and cured meats.
